Written Test on Week 4

Please take note on the following dates for your Written Test:
  1. Full-time students: 11th of May 2011 (5:15PM to 5:55PM)
  2. Part-time students: 10th of May 2011 (6:30PM to 7:15PM)
Scope is Chapter 1 and 2.
Duration: 45 minutes. Please come at least 5 minutes before the test starts.
  • DARE/FT/2B/24 @ T432
  • DME/FT/2B/26 @ T443
  • EDME/EO/2B/21 @ T1456
Note that this is a open book written test. This means, you can refer to the text-book, but you will not be allowed to use the computer.

3 questions in total.

Q1: (20 marks). Draw a flowchart based on a given problem. (Flowchart involves input, process, decision and output. Loop concept will not be tested.)

Q2: (40 marks): write a program based on a given flowchart and sample output. (Computation uses simple arithmetic operators. Format output decimal places)

Q3: (40 marks): write a program based on a given problem and sample output. (Computation uses math functions. Format output decimal places)

S5. Scope:

Chapter 1: Draw a flowchart using appropriate symbols to solve the problem.

Chapter 2: Basic program structure, variable declaration, assignment operator, arithmetic operators, math functions, cin, cout, iomanip.
